Message: I know this is a Dakota forum, but I just wanted to let you know how bad-ass the next generation Ram is going to be. Being an employee at a Dodge Dealership has its perks and one of them was going out and testing the Ram that will be released soon. Even though the 5.2 is gone (may it rest in a happy place) the 4.7 is a great substitute in this package. Also, Dodge has left the stone-age and equipped the Ram with independent front suspension on all models...yes, even the 4x4. Anyway, the Ram is a sweet ride, and has a wheel upgrade package to equip it with 20 inch wheels (sweet style, no ghetto cruiser image). Well, be on the lookout for it and take a test drive...my dakota will still romp on it, but a great truck for a full size.

Message: I resent That stone-age comment. IFS is not best for all situations. Exspecially when your talking 4x4. I live in Southern Arizona Where off-roading usually means steep hills with big rocks, even on the countless ranch roads. Every rancher out here knows that the an active front axle in a 4x4 is the trucks weakest link. Those little CV joints are no match for a solid axle. I have seen many of those puny front axles get shedded out on just a typical Arizona ranch road.
