Subject: Seal Kit IP: Logged
Message: Hi, I want make a mayor overhaul of the steering of a dakota 97. I need the seal kit for the rack-pinion steering. On rockauto the kit has a 12 days delay but finally they say the kit is factory´s out o stock. Now i am trying again but i am not feeling too lucky. The kit is the ACDELCO 36A8414. The other kit is the Transtec 8414, I can´t found anywhere.
Any clue where can i found any of the kits?.

Message: I doubt that a '97 Dakota has rack and pinion steering. I may be wrong about a '97 but my '98 Dakota uses a steering box. Are you sure you are looking for the right parts? Just trying to help - not flaming nor wish to be flamed. Good Luck!
