Message: Greg,
You did agree to supply the performer for $100 shipped.
I still fail to see why you have been unable to reply to my emails while you have time to post on all the Dak boards. It would make sense to clean up the old stuff first, wouldn't it?

Message: The way I talked to your wife? The email was directed toward YOU, not your wife.
I can post that one in an open forum as well if you'd like.
Back to the ethics thing, it should never have been allowed to reach this point. It should have been taken care of a long time ago. My name and reputation are good, I intend to keep them that way. I was involved with a parts problem a couple of months ago. To maintain my rep in the hobby and a freindship with a fellow MoPar guy, he got the parts (about $200 all told, I might add) for nothing! What is your name and reputation worth?
I am going to refrain from taking this mud slinging contest any further. Email checked and replied to. I await your response on the manifold and on Daves rockers.

Message: Most married guys become a father at some point in their life. It's not like it's a "miraculous" occurrence that has happened only to him. If he lied to somebody, he needs to make it right. The fact that he (his wife) just had a child has nothing to do with screwing people over, if in fact that is what happened. Why would these two guys come here and complain if it wasn't true? That isn't even a point that needs to be brought up in this instance. Get it straight with the people who you deal with. If something like this happened on Ebay, the person selling would not have any business because they get a rating from buyers.

When I ordered my HO cams form KRC, it took me something like a MONTH to get them suckers!
It was hard to be patient and I did email KRC a few times. But the cams eventually came. Seems that overall KRC is well respected but even a co like that can have problems sending/shipping parts.
Look on eBay. Sometimes someone will have tons of satisfied buyers. Then one or two buyers will absdolutely flame them for whatever happened.
When we buy something, of course we want it liek right now. Hoepful you all settle it :)

Back in the 1950s my father, Albert Gore Sr., told me never buy anything from anybody on the internet. I asked him what the internet was because I never heard of it. He said, don't worry son, it will make you famous.
To this day, even though I invented it, I have never bought anything off of it. I don't trust anything I have done in my life, so I don't trust anyone else.

Message: Daveshotdako and dakota sport. He just had a baby. Good for him . I hope all is well there. I do not wish anything but the best. I am a father also, a 12 yr old (6 ft 3 and 250 lbs) he aint cheap to have around , a 9 yr old daughter who wants everything she sees. Also a 10 year old foster child we have had for 2 years now. I have had up to 4 foster kids living with me at 1 time before. You see, I am not a bad or unreasonable person. I just do NOT have alot of money to throw around. This has gone on for a long time now, and both Ray and myself are getting fed up. Why is that so hard to understand??? We have done nothing wrong . Telling us to shut up and leave Greg alone? We have lost money here.We are trying to get it back. If I got my refund as promised I would disappear, poof, gone. If Greg did send it , for the second time, I never recieved it, again ?. But I just do not understand how it could drag out for SO long. It started with Greg on Sept 17th.It is now December and we are still squabbling over this . I bought a valve body off of someone on BBDart and the money was sent and the transaction completed in a little over a week, a great experience and that fellow was in California . A very nice part exactly as described. So you see, this has been a bitter experience, for me. I am not a a$$hole just out to yank someone around for the fun of it, I am just out for what I paid for. NOTHING more. And being quiet about it has gotten nowhere.
P.S. Al Gore you are too funny man, that broke me up.

Message: Dave,
i am not saying it's taking that long to get to you.. not at all.. but this did not start september 17th. Well maybe that's when you first decided you wanted it, but that's not when you paid for it.
It was not my intentions to screw you over and sell you defective parts. I pulled them off my motor the day i shipped them to you and they worked. i've had a lot of great transactions on bbdart.com, too.
i've purchased and sold stuff to about 11 people on that board.. three people locally, two in oklahoma, a couple in arizona, a couple in florida, one in new jersey and one in pennsylvania. At the time of our transaction, i sold stuff to six different people, four which are very happy with the product they got and ray's shipment, which is being resolved.
i'm sorry if anybody on this board, or any other board bark(s/ed) at you for coming here and doing this.
please check email.

Message: Greg , my first contact with you was the 17th, my money order was sent to you on the 19th. I can paste the our correspondance here if you like. I have saved all of the emails. I tried to contact you repeatedly over a 12 day period to see if my money order made it to you OK. You ignored me completely, all the while you were posting on bionicdodge. Anyways, I am so sick of going over this story for a measly $80. It's not so much the money Greg. It is more the principal of it, this could have been resolved months ago, but you are not sticking to your word. Twice now you said the cheque is in the mail and it never arrived. Once, well maybe that is possible. Twice , no way,Sorry. I sent you money and it made it there the first time. Just live up to your word. By ignoring Ray and I it just makes it worse. And gets us more upset. Most of the guys on here seem pretty decent. GB2000 was not too kind to me , but I forwarded him a bunch of our correspondance and he now believes what I am saying to be true. A very nice fellow it turns out. I am glad I saved all of the emails . Anyways, you know what you need to do to make this right. Just do it, it has dragged on long enough. Dave.

Message: this is in a public forum so i will add my thoughts. deal with it.
:)
this is my personal summary of the situation from reading the posts on here and the thread on the other board.
Dave - you came on here and whined about Greg. Made it look like you were trying to shame him into giving you your money back. I might have done the same thing.
But further posts of yours have revealed more of the story. You chose to buy directly from a stranger, apparantly for the too-good-to-be-true low price. You changed your mind a couple times about which parts you wanted. You expected business-like responses to your inquiries. First you said you just want your money back and now you just said its not the money its the principle. All very confusing.
Greg - you decided to sell something. You found a buyer. He sent money. You sent item. The buyer said the item is not as promised. You, not being a business, were not available 24x7 to answer emails and whatnot. The buyer has asked for his money back for an item he has apparantly not offeredto return? You appear to be working to please this buyer.
my personal conclusions:
(once again, deal with it!)
Dave, maybe you should stick to ebay or other business-type purchases that have clear-cut 'rules of engagement'. I think you need that kind of structure. Also, when buying used mechanical parts from someone you don't know, it might be a good idea not to take their word on condition if you don't know them. (my local dealer's definition of a tuneup is very different from mine.) If you didn't like the ebay-photo-link, shoulda asked for a photo of the actual item before agreeing to buy it.
Greg, you sold a part that turned out to be bad. You appear to be trying to fix it, I dunno. You also appear to want to settle this issue off the board and directly with the buyer, Dave, who it seems would rather whine online and warn everyone of this injustice instead. Seeing as how you are not a used parts store, I really don't see why you should send him any of his money back unless he first returns the 'not-as-described' parts, in the same condition they were recieved.
Judge Jeff Wannabe-Wapner says:
Dave should stop whining about injustices. Greg should be more careful with his future product descriptions so people don't get confused. If Greg wants to refund any money, it should be after recieving the parts back, and less all the shipping/handling charges. If Dave wants his money back, he should work at contacting Dave to discuss possible terms for a refund, like sending back the items.
Like I said before, this thread was started on a public board, and is dragging on with no end in sight (kinda by Dave), so I decided to add my fiddy cents.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to say...
Kill Tookie!! Tookie Must Die!!

That is all.
