Alright, i know this has been asked 500000 times before but can't search the site anymore(since i am not a memeber).

I am swapping from a 3.9 mag to a 5.2 mag out of a 1996 ram. what all do i need besides the engine obviously to make it work? thanks

Here's a partial list. I was going to swap a 3.9l to 5.9L in my '99 but sold it and bought an R/T instead.

Fuel rail & injectors
New Powertrain control module
46RE transmission
Wiring harness
Distributor
driveshaft possibly

You can use the same tranny as long as you aren't going to haul or "test" out your new power:) You'll need everything from the 5.2 like they said above: fuel rail, PCM, wire harness, throttle cable, etc. The motor mounts bolt right up, so no need to modify them. You'll need the radiator shroud from the 5.2, the exhaust pipes/system(3.9 has 2.5in and the 5.2 has 3in). That is the list for the major stuff, there may be small things that need to be changed as well. Good Luck!
