I will be installing an airaid intake on my truck tomarrow. I have read on this site that you shoue reset the pcm after every mod. Is this necessary for an intake? If so all I have to do is disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes then reconnect rite?

Thanks for any responses.

you didnt read that on this site. you only have to reset the pcm for major internal mods like cams, roller rockers, and stuff like that. just installing a cold air intake will not mean that you have to reset the pcm. what you said about the way to reset the pcm was correct. when i reset mine, i disconnected the battery and turned on the key for a minute or two.
