Apparently PIAA makes a mounting kit for the 97-03 dakotas that allows you to mount their 510 series driving or foglights in the factory location. Has anyone used this mounting kit or these lights? If so how do you like them, and do you know where to find the best deal?

I bought the lamps and the mounting kit. The lamps are nice, a vast improvement over the factory parts. The mounting kit was useless.Didn't even come close to fitting on my '01 Sport QC. I had to fab my own brackets; whcih was pretty easy and didn't take long.

I also put some after market fogs on, they weren't piaa and a can't remember who made them. But like Bob said the brakets were worthless. I made them fit but they ended up shearing off when I went hunting. They are too thin and shake when you are driving making you want to have a seizure. If I remember the name I'll let you know. Check ebay

thanks... I guess ill just stick with the factory ones. I put in a pair of 885 bulbs... exactly the same as the factorys but are 50 watt instead of 37.5. They are a lot brighter and the housings dont seem to get too hot and the wiring seems like it can handle it just fine.
