Message: I have a 2001 V8 dakota 4*4 and it stalls at sudden stops. It sputters and the only thing that keeps it going is if I take my foot off the brake for a moment. It doesnt happen often, but it happens enough. It also sometime stalls when I'm in reverse...come to a stop....put it in drive....and it dies. Always starts back up. I took it in and they couldnt find anything. Its been like this for about 2 yrs. I have 106,000 miles on it. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Message: maybe it's the throttle position sensor(TPS)? I had a real erratic idle in my 2000 4.7, which eventually started stalling. a new TPS cost me about 25 bucks and took about 10 minutes to replace, and have not had any idle or stalling problems since...
