Message: Ok I found a jeep 4.7 says it's a '99 but I thought the 4.7's didn't come out til '00. Either way I have a 3.9 w/ manual and I was wondering if the 4.7 would mount to my tranny (NV3500). I figure the mounts will be different and I need a new wiring harness and PCM but what else?

Message: '00 is just first year for 4.7 in a Dak; it was in the jeep before.

Message: 98 i believe for the jeep.
i think the tranny may need to be the heavy duty NV3500 but people build up the v6 and they're pushing more power to the ground than a v8.
i think the fly wheel may need to be replaced?
not a whole lot more than the basics

Message: Ok I've decided that there's just a little more work for that to do...I'll just hold out for a 318. The NV3500 is capable of handling up to 300 hp right? I know I'm not gonna be putting out that kinda power right away, and by the time I may accomplish that with the 318 it will probably be time to get a new tranny or rebuild it anyways.
