I'd suggest to check with some local shops for the best deal. Body shops typically charge in the neighborhood of $38 per hour plus materials. After that is the paint and supplies. BTW, depending on the condition of your paint, a good body shop will not just paint the cowl but will also fade the paint in the hood and fenders. If they don't, the cowl may standout to much.

Tell me what body shops only charge 38 dollars. Here in Indiana the average labor rate for body work is 50-60 dollars per hour. The one I worked at for a couple of months was 50 dollars an hour.
