Subject: ABS not working IP: Logged
Message: I have a 98 Dakota and my ABS is not working, the ABS light on the dash is not on however the ABS is still not working. Does anyone have any ideas for me on what the problem could be? I had the brakes done 20,000KM ago so they should be fine.

Message: Is your speedometer working, or working up to a certain speed them puking out? If this describes your problem then it's probably your rear wheel speed sensor.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

Message: Be sure to remember when testing the ABS thbough that the anti-lock brakes don't work below a certain speed. It has a cutoff, I don't remember what speed it is though.

Message: We got some snow here the other day so after driving in that I am positive that it isn't working.
My speedometer is working just fine and my brakes seem good except for no ABS

Message: Is it front wheel or all wheel abs? If it is rear wheel, that will not stop you from slipping, it just helps keep your front wheel in FRONT of you.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.
