Message: Do bad I dont have a 440 laying around.. I'd try it.. I hope to have a 408 soon though.. Maybe after that, I'll track down a rampage and attempt something similar... There is a SWEET looking charger at the junkyard that would be awesome if it were restored... No one wants to buy it because this junk yard is huge and on top of that the fenders and parts are inside the car and no one wants to fool with it but I would love to restore it.... If I bought a rampage I wouldnt know what to do with it engine wise... Upgrade the current motor in it or do a complete swap?? Traction would be a serious issue with that thing... Hmm!

Message: Anyone here been watching Trucks!? He's working on a 41 Dodge Power Wagon called Sgt. Rock. It's inspires by (maybe even being built for) the Memphis Belle restoration.
I think he's planning on using 55" tires. It'll be powered by a 440. Why? Cummings Turbo Diesel and Hemi won't fit in the engine bay. I can't recall which is which, but one is too wide and the other too long. So it looks like size wise, the 440 is a happy medium. Now, exactly how much room is under the hood of those rampages?

Message: Dan,
i've seen the whole series on the SGT. Rock.. it's quite amazing. I believe it's a 440 stroked/bored to a 605 and made by Indy.

said.
the engine is pushing something like 850hp and 825ft-lbs and doesn't weigh much for its all aluminum.
did you see the 572 s/c in the nova only running 11.6.
