 Subject: Rear View Mirror Switch Broken?

Hey all,
I have a '99 Dakota SLT with the automatic rear view mirror dimmer. Recently the switch at the bottom of the mirror will not stay turned on. I can push the button up and if I hold it the green light (indicating it's on) come on but the switch will not stay turned on.
Anybody seen anything like this? Any fixes short of replacing the whole assembly?

The first check shuld be with a borrowed, known good mirror assembly. If the loaner works fine, the problem is in your mirror.
Ebay is a MUCH cheaper source than a dealership, for this particular item.
