KJS, off of this topic but i have to ask you if you noticed a diff with the 10" open element filter? i have an '00 QC like yours but 3.9 5spd manny and i prefer the open element. i have removed the horn off the stock airbox and never had any "flap" on the side of the rad.

Daddio I have a 95 CC 4x4 and i switched to the open element filter (k&n). I have the 10" edelbrock air hat. I have noticed better throttle response, ie, no lag between punching it and the engine kicking in vs the stock air box.

i think I may upgrade to the 12" when I upgrade my stock throttle body.
