Subject: Swaybar bent?? IP: Logged
Message: Hey Y'all,
Need a little help with my rear swaybar. Looks like it's bent on the driver's side.
Course I did get whacked by an F150 so maybe it is.
Seriously, folks, was at the body shop last night looking at the truck with the bed removed. The sway bar is not symmetrical and I couldn't tell if it's supposed to be that way or not. Passenger side is pretty straight past the bracket. Driver's side is curved, maybe on purpose to
clear the shock on that side.
If anyone has occasion to be under their Dak this weekend, how about taking a look and letting me know.
TIA(God I miss my truck),

Message: You and I have the same truck. I'll look this weekend... I have to pics to take anyway.
I assume you are talking about the rear (haven't looked but I assume there is one in the front also)?

Message: Robert,
Thanks and much appreciated. Yeah, rear swaybar.
The guy rearended me on the left side and ran up into my left rear tire bending the leaf spring in the process.
It looks like the swaybar is assymmetric due to the right shock angled forward and the left shock angled back, hence the bend. Just don't know if the swaybar is OK or not and trust this list way more than the adjuster or the body shop.
Thanks again,
jc
