Subject: driving without a hood IP: Logged
Message: Is it illegal to drive down the street without a hood? I am wanting to fabricate a hood scoop but still want to drive my truck. I am currently working a job (2 year contract) in West Virginia.
Has anyone ever got a ticket for this kind of thing?

Message: I've never heard of that being a legal issue. Can't imagine why it would be. But there are a lot of goofy laws on the books that make no sense. Best bet is to contact the local state police barracks and ask them.

Message: I got a ticket for it before.... something about the hood being part of the "safety features" of the truck. I tried fighting it in court but ther is a goofy law and the judge ruled in favor of the cop

Message: Ya man... I'm from Georgia and I see it every now and again lol... What state are you from? I'm not endorsing illigal activity, but if you dont drive around too much and go through very populated cities, then you MAY be alright.. I know a lot of cops around here let stuff like that go...
