Subject: Westin step bar question IP: Logged
Message: I just got my Westin Step bars and I'm not sure which way to mount them. I have a ext. cab. Do the step pads go towards the front or the back? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Message: I put some stepbars (nerf bar style with two plastic 'steps' mounted to the bar) on my '01 Quad Cab. These particular steps could only be mounted one way as the mounting brackets were attached in such a way that you couldn't mount them improperly. They required no drilling.
Are you mounting step bars or just like a single step? Good luck!

Message: These are step bars with one step pad. They mount to brackets that use the body mount bolts. They will mount either way and the directions don't specify which way. Its not a big deal, I just wanted some opinions. Thanks Spacinjason.
