I just replaced my intake manifold gasket, it was show, leaking
badly, and truck was running way way too lean. Well, I just replaced
it, and noticed my gas mileage increased right after the repair...
If the truck was running lean before, wouldnt the gas mileage gone
down???

You can run lean and still use more fuel. You have alot more air coming in. You are lean because your computer can not compensate for the extra air.
