whats a good "cheap" $1500 way to build up a 1967 383. i need to get the heads reseated and it doesnt need rebuilt(about 100k)? and whats some info on that engine, specs, it came out of a monacco

At 100K, it needs a rebuild. Go back with moly-coated rings. Mild port/polish on the heads. Decent cam up to around .510" lift, but no more with stock-heads. The 383 liked to rev.

1500 can get you pretty far on a big block.. if there is no required machine work, it can get your really far.

well from what i know there is an doch 10 and doch 12 but i may be rong. i just probaly said or told it rong. i know there is a v10. that is what is in the srt-10 dodge pick ups.

In general, the www.moparts.com website is one of the best places to start for old mopar questions. Theres all sorts of info on your 383 - and you will do well posting a question with those guys. They live breathe and eat vintage mopar!
