Subject: Cracks in wheel IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Quad Cab with the factory aluminum wheels. One of the wheels has cracks where the "spokes" meet the hub. I would say they're more than a hairline crack but not gaping by any means. They appear to only be cracks in the finish but...
Has anyone heard of any problems with the factory wheels failing?

Message: Just had this conversation with the tire shop > After market alloy wheels are fairly easy to crack hitting a pot hole or simular hard hit > factory wheels are tuffer but can still be dammaged same way > reguardless, if the wheel is actually cracked get it off the truck > this can be a killer
