Subject: Wind noise IP: Logged
Message: I have noticed that with my 96 when I am on the highway the drivers door sometimes makes a nasty noise. It sounds like a horn being honked. It is usually short time frames like you just press the horn. I do have a bug deflector on it which may cause the noise but was curious if anyone else had this and found a solution. I am guessing the wind speed has to be around 100 until it happens as it is usually occurs driving into a wind at around 75.
Thanks

Message: I had the very same problem on a 92 Dakota. It's
the door seal vibrating when the wind hits it
*just* right. It only happened on windy days with
cross winds.
It scared the crap out of me the first time it
happened!
Really nothing to worry about and no fix for it
except try a new door seal.

Message: I knew it wasn't anything to worry about just wondering if anyone found a solution. I was hoping for something other than new seal. Maybe I will try some glue or something. I never had this with my 91 which is why I am confused. I didn't have the deflector on the 91 though so maybe the air currents change it enough.
I know they screwed up my dad & uncles mirrors on their Rams (dad's 94 reg cab, uncle 95 extend).
