i doubt you could swap those. i believe the newer ones are made into the CTM(Central Timer Module). don't know if the older daks had this.

im not sure about newer dakotas but in the early 90's dakota the buzzer is just plugged into the fuse box and the sound is distributed from the little "buzz module".... Now, get a newer buzzer and figure out how it operates and maybe you can incorperate it into your dakota... Or just get something rigged to play when the door trigger is activated... I have never seen a newer buzzer so I cant help as much..sorry.... And personaly, the buzzers annoy the crap out of me and the FIRST mod i made to my truck was ripping that buzzer out, lol!

Ya, mine is out but I like the reminder.

Your right the earlier ones do just plug into the fuse box....so none of the newer just plug in?

Perhaps I will try a wrecker and see what I can find. I have a hunch that the Dodge Caravans may have somethng I can use with a nice......ding...ding....ding
