Subject: Steering wheel swap = old to newer style IP: Logged
Message: Can it be done?
I have a 93 and want a newer more modern Dodge steering wheel, perhaps a leather one like off a newer one or out of a Dadge mini van.
The 93's have no air bag and cruise on the wheel.
Anyone know if the spline is the same....can it be done?

Message: I don't know for certain whether they're the same, but you can pick up spare steering wheels off of E-Bay on a semi-regular basis for $10-20, so it wouldn't cost too much to test it out.
However, you should pull your airbag (if applicable) and check the spline in your truck to make sure it matches your donor wheel - the newer trucks have two different styles of splines. I created a ghettoshop doodle to show the differences in another thread:

You can MacGyver one of the splined wheels on a notched shaft, but you will need to do dremel off the splines from 85% of the wheel.
