 Subject: Antifreeze Leak

Last week I brought it to a shop and they changed a leaking soft plug, now it leaks on the back of the enging block. Does anyone know if there is a soft plug on the back of the block, where the tranny meets the block? Any help would be appreciated.

for sure if it's a 3.9/5.2/5.9 there is. don't know about the 4.7 or 3.7.

jamie, are you having dodge do the plugs? Make sure you use original mopar plugs. I had a bad experience with napa plugs.

Yeah they replaced, the one plug on the side with the dealers plug, now I just need to know why its leaking from the back of the block.

just about anytime you fix a leak in the cooling system, if there is another weak spot, it will find it. chances are some,if not all, the freeze plugs are corroding. did you buy the truck new? if so, how often have you changed the coolant?

Just had my freeze plugs replaced.
140,000 miles...it wasleakin pretty bad.
Also theres two...so get them both at the same time so you dont have to do it again.

Yeah I just got my antifreeze changed for the first time since I got it in 2000.
