Message: Do you think it is unsual for it to take a little more than 2 weeks to receive some pulleys from socaldakotas? I live in northern Indiana and I have never ordered from them. I am hopeing I'm just being parinoid, but my credit card shows it went through on 10-6-05 and I still don't have my parts?
And also I have sent three emails asking about what the "gates belt" part # is I thought it was K060950 for the crank/alt pulley set up on a 1999 3.9L but he responded to the second email by saying "what is your order number." So I sent a response back and a week later no response back and no order yet?
Any thoughts? Has anyone had trouble with them? I would have to say they sure haven't impressed me to much with there service. At this point all I want is my pulleys and I'll figure out the belt size my self.
Thanks for the help.

Message: Sometimes stuff (ie. family issues) happens that keeps them pretty busy and away from the computer... Sam is pretty well-liked by most people for his great service. If there's a phone number listed on the site, give him a call (note: a call...not calling 50 times an hour) instead of emailing in case he's just unable to get online currently...otherwise just give it a little more time before getting too antsy.

Message: Yeah...I've yet to hear anyone say that they've been screwed over by him. Occasionally he posts here as well...so heck, you may end up receiving a reply from him in this post. lol
Sometimes the delivery company can really make a bad experience with someone as well...I ordered a rat cage a couple weeks ago for some pet rats I was getting (which I ended up getting rid of 2 days later due to recently developed allergies...grrr), but anyway, the cage was shipped the following day. I used FedEx's tracking page and it had already been picked up the day I was emailed with the shipping notice and scanned into their system with an estimated arrival date the day after it had shipped. It took 4 business days before my package made it from the truck to the FedEx building in the same town and then another day before it left the building for the next location (it went through the next 3 locations within 24 hours TOTAL and arrived the following day). I'm convinced they got a bunch of vegetables working at that one location. Anyway...needless to say, my package arrived after almost a week rather than in 2 days like the site said it should have. It was only one state away too. Just something else to think about.

Message: i've given sammy a few thousand dollars of business over the past year- and im not dissapointed by any of it.
i bought an engine from him. he ordered all the parts, painted, and assembled an ENTIRE long block, ready to run.. and shipped it to me on the east coast in about 8 weeks start to finish. some of you may think thats a little long.. but starting from scratch to the moment my truck was running again, its actually quite amazing.
now, on the same note- it did take him a couple months to get me a set of gears. he's a pretty busy guy- does the whole socaldakota.com thing on his own time, after a full time job and family. not that this is really excusable, but c'mon, we're all people and have our own things to do, but if ya need a good price and customer service, good things come to those who wait.
in fact, even if i find a better price on something somewhere else, i still give my business to sam, just because of how well he's treated me in the past

Message: Hey what do you know! Finaly I got my Asp Pulleys.
I ordered them October 7 and today is November 7. So I guess a month is not that bad.
Question I have a 99 3.9L and I bought the ASP Crank & Alt. Pulleys, so what belt do I need?
I think it is a 95" 6 rib gates part#K060950
Does any one know if this is right?
Thanks

Message: It's his business, let him run it how he wants...if you don't like how he runs it, tough sh!t. Nobody's holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy from him. And with the amount of ripoff companies out there these days, the excuse, "Well I didn't know any better at the time..." doesn't fly. Unless you're a complete idiot, you're going to research the business you're considering buying from so by the time you send him your money, you should know how everything's going to work out. Sorry to sound like such an ass, but that's my honest opinion on everything.
