 Subject: Theives put diesel in my truck

My truck was stolen for 6 days. Upon recovery it wouldn't start. Shop said diesel was put in tank and they replaced fuel pump and flushed lines, tank. Any other problems this may cause??? Also, i smell something like farts or eggs in the cab now, eyes actually burn.

It might have clogged up the cat, I'm not sure if diesels run the
same setup. The o2 sensors might be fudged up too, and
maybe the plugs. Just some ideas.

usually draining the tank, lines, pump and replacing the plugs usually fixes the issue. It will take a few tanks to completely clear teh diesel out. As for the cat and O2 sensors, hard to say. If it wouldnt start when you got it back it means they drove it with diesel in teh tank until the motor died when the diesel concentration got to high. Seen someone accidentally put diesel in a bike and it was fine after being cleaned out (premium yellow handle was right next to the diesel yellow handle at the pump).
BTW they had to fill it slow sicne diesel fuel nozzle openings are larger than gasoline nozzle openings in cars and trucks (bikes usually just have a large fuel tank hole).

Thanks for your inputs. I am dealing now with an insurance company , and being a "chic and all" do not know what I'm up against with these issues. I wish it were only cosmetic body damage, that I can see and understand. Someone mentioned it may be my cat conv, but i don't know if this would cause it, and don't recal hearing the rattle from under the truck before, and definatly don't recal the horrid smell in the cab

unless someone filled up a bunch of cans from a farm and they came from that.
thats actually very likely.
we have people stealing anhydrous all the time. go juice usually doesnt get messed with though
