When the seafoam "breaks" the carbon deposits loose doesn't that make problems for the valves and such? If the deposits are sizeable, wouldn't it be a bad idea to have them loose and flying around the inside of the cylinder?

Just asking, because I can't see how this would be a good thing.

When I used seafoam on my 97cc, 3.9L with 90K it hardly blew any smoke at all. I used almost half a can too, waiting and waiting, but didn't get anything. I just poured it down the throttle body.

I picked up a can last night. I drove about 1800 miles last week and now it's time for an oil change. I still use it at every oil change, in oil, gas and tb.

I believe the instructions do tell you to pour half a bottle down the tb...though I've never used Seafoam so I can't confirm it.

Directions say to pour 1/3 to 1/2 pint (sold in pint containers) down the TB.

I have used it for some time now at every oil change.

Yup, that is what my 02 4.7 looked like when I seafoamed it through the TB, it's poured slowly down the TB on a running engine. My neighbors must have been wondering what was going on. I wasn't expecting quite the output that did happen.

a cleaner engine.

used in fuel to clean injectors.

used in oil to free sticky lifters, helps clean out build up and reduce it from occurring.

used in air intake to clean carbon deposits.

check out their website, seafoamsales.com

I use it at every oil change.

i did a test drive and i am disappointed to say the least. the truck feels more sluggish and the check engine light came on. now i will give it a little time before i just say it was a entire waste of money.

the funny thing was when i did it my neighbors gardner was just starring at me. btw i smoked out the entire neighborhood and 3 neighbors came outside. funny! and thats about the only thing making it worth the $4 i paid.
