I'll make this quick FJ....actually read the posts. I did not spend an additional $35,000 on my jeep.

Anybody besides me notice how much time this "Jeep lover" spends on the definitive "Dodge Dakota" web forum. Why don't you give us a little more info on your jeep/race-car. What kind of supercharger, had it dynoed? 1/4 mile times? 1/8?Ever tried to bring anything home from the hardware store bigger than a bag of nails? Ever try to take your wife and another couple out to eat, oh yeah, real comfortable back there huh? But then again, your rich right? You probably also have a 300M and a brand new full size four-door Chevy truck right? Well, My supercharged v8 Dakota with 3.92 tracloc rearend and five-speed tranny will spank your little jeepy-poo all day long in the quarter mile run. And it has four doors too! But, that's just by day! By night, I'll really make you look silly when I pass you in my "J", doing 150mph (damn limiters) My "J" is a 98 Jag XJR so don't forget to wave to me, my wife or the two of our closest friends that will be sipping an after-dinner cognac in the back seat as we laugh our way past you. Oh, yeah you can't wave, you need three hands just to keep that short-wheel base p.o.s. that was never designed to go fast on the road. And, by the way, guess how much money in mods I have in my car? You guessed it, none. It's paid off too, just like my 2000 Dakota and my 98 mini-van.

You know what? Forget the gay guys and sorority girls. And I also apologize for my foul foul language (even though it really was a bunch of punctuation marks).
Let's just sum this up by making two points....
1). Nobody likes a rich kid who comes in the door spouting off the fact that he sunk $11,000 into a vehicle and then challenges everyone, claiming he's gonna make everyone "look like a little girl." That's why everyone is flaming you.
2). You came to the wrong chat board to brag about your silly Wrangler, no matter how much you spent. When you come into a Dodge Dakota chat board and tell everyone that their truck is "overpriced junk," you're not gonna win any friends. So far, you haven't won any friends. Basically you came to the wrong place if you're looking for respect.
You've got a lot of backpeddling to do before anyone's gonna lighten up on your loud-mouth "redneck farm-boy" a$$. Hey, you said it, not me. Good Luck.

Guys just a want ask some thing real quik. I was behind these trucks last night a gen II dak it was pretty nice from behind. looked a little low and had a nice set of crome pipes coming straight out the rear any hoo the other truck was one of those typoons. I think it is Chevrolet???? what did the typoon come w/stock any one know??? I could just tell they where ging to race. This is in Raynham Massachusetts. Going over the I 495 over pass. They where at a red light and they both looked real nice But the dak. Looked real nice just sitting idle. When the light turned green they took over like a bat out of hell . The only bad thing is the dak. sat there for a second spinning (more like 6-7 seconds) the typoon took off real nice. the dak was flying it cuaght right up to this typoon and beat it by about two cars... it was a nice thing to see. Has any one ever raced a typoon before/ rustang....

The Typhoon came with a 4.3L Turbo V-6 and all wheel drive. They are fast as hell and it is hard to beat them without some modifications to the motor and the suspension (for traction).

I know we all want to rip him apart but it's really not appropriate for he is a 'disabled' person and needs our heep. We will raise him as our own. Now, it is obvious he can't make a lot of money since he owns a TJ with a few mods. It's obviously not 11K worth of upgrades since he doesn't have anything to write about. For instance he hasn't mentioned his locker brand or even why he has a locker on a 'race??' jeep. His handicap is even more apparent when he's shown he has modified his wrangler with every incorrect modification. A jeep is made for lifting, we all know that. Ground clearance for off-roading. I think if we could all turn our backs on this string for a bit...it may help him. Chris is truly a troubled one. Only as a final measure, will we smoke him with our V8 dakotas and out-wheel him with our lifted wranglers. But ONLY as a final lesson. Let's hope he grows and learns soon. Learns that the HIGHER number on our pay-checks means we make more money, learns that wranglers were not made for racing, but for off-roading. Let's strive to make him understand. Let us try to ween him off of our forum.

Hi,
I stumbled across your board while doing a keyword search. MOST AMUSING! I've always kinda liked Dakotas, although I think one made for me would have to have the 5.9. (there IS no substitute for cubes) But guys........I gotta tell yuh: "Dak" is way too close to yak! Which is obviously what 20 year-olds do after drinking too much. A bad image better Not associated with a good lookin' truck, don'tcha think?
Besides, real trucks are built--not bought! I own one of those "real Jeeps" (CJ7) that like to crawl over rocks, real slow like. But that's not enough, so I put a little 406ci sbc into it, mated to a NV4500 5-speed. (that would be out of a Ram 1-ton: the Dakotas big bro') Even with my puny little 38" tires, I'd be happy to make a run with you V8 Dakota fellas. By the way, I'm no "Visa Jeeper" as we like to call Chris's type. My rust-free straight Jeep cost me $6300.00, plus $250.00 for the tranny, and $2400.00 for the 525'lbs of torque the motor I built added. That almost leaves me enough left over from Chris's total to go out and buy one of those shiny Dakotas! Fortunately, I won't have to, since I don't need the extra capacity to carry my wife along.
All kidding aside........built, not bought. That's the key. And thanks for the entertainment!

ive had fast cars and trucks,but do 175 mph on a bike and you'll know what fast is. 99 ram xc 4x4 99 grand cherokee limited 4.7 94 yj 4.0(blown up)70 k5 blazer 6" lift 427 big block and a 2001 yamaha r1 rice rocket sorry, im too fat for a dak thats why i got the full size.
