my 1972 dodge charger 400v8 is running wierd. when i accelerate it putts and chugs and sometines cuts out for a split second. also it wont peel out anymore, what is my problem. also what gas should i put in it

Fuel pump, fuel filter, or sticky float needle inside the carb.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

if a tune up doesn't help rebuild the carb. could be a sticky float or a worn accelerator pump.
