Message: get a superchips tuner then.. gets ya a little performance, and the ability to adjust your speedometer to your tire size.

Message: If you originally had 265/70-16, then when your speedometer indicates 58, you're actually doing 60. A 5 MPH difference would not happen until your speedometer indicates 125: then you'd actually be going 130.
If your vehicle had a different size, what was it, and we can figure it again.

Message: Christian - it will read slightly slower than the speed you are going.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Message: christian, since your tire size was that small, i'm guessing you have a genI or genII dakota. If that's the case, you can change the speedometer gear in the transmission where the speedometer cable goes into the tailshaft.

Message: there's only a tenth of a difference in those two sizes dave, i wouldnt worry about it.
235/75/15 = 28.9" diameter
255/70/15 = 29" diameter
