I am looking for some threads that have pictures of V6 TBs. I am having a problem getting off my throttle cable and I was wondering what it took to get the stock throttle cable to fit on the V8 TB. I tried to search the older posts but the search engine would not allow me. Thanks in advance.

You have to buy a new TB cable in order for it to work. The one off ur V6 will not fit the V8 because the V8 is a disc and the V6 is a ball. I think it cost me about $20-30

Some people have a way to modify the linkage to fit...but I've never done it so I couldn't tell you anything about how to go about it.

Mine was modified for a while until I bought the V8 throttle cable. It involved a 1/4" drill bit, a dremmel, a pair of pliers, and a LOT of swearing. Just get the new cable and save yourself the pain in the fingers:)

If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

you can just swap the shaft from the V6 TB onto the V8 TB. the hardest part is removing the screws that hold the butterflies in place.

well since you dont mention what year. When I did it I bought one out of the same year truck as mine and it had the ball type connection no modding/new cable required. I have a 93.
