 Subject: Airbag question

I recently hit a deer and it deployed the airbag, ive replaced all the damage and have bought a new airbag, my question is this, if i just put the new airbag in, is it going to deploy also? is there a sensor that needs replaced? or can i just plug it in and go? i always thought there was somekind of sensor on the front of the vehicle but theres not. What am i looking for? thankyou!

Airbag module MUST be replaced, your clock spring needs replaced, and you might want to double check the wire harness as well. The module is under the dash I believe.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

Are your seatbelts ok? On the dakotas if the airbags go, so do the seatbelts. Mine did.I bought seatbelts and airbags from a salvage yard. You have to replace the module under the dash too.Hope this helps.
