Is it possible to put a V8 throttle body on a V6? I heard somewhere that this was possible but you had to cut a flange with a torch and weld some aluminum somewhere.
If it is possible will it work with the TB from my dads 4.7 on my 3.9? I ask because he has a spare one and I'd like to make my truck go faster.

a TB off of a 4.7 won't work on a 3.9. they are two totally different TB's. the 4.7 uses a single opening about 65-68mm depen ding on year. a 3.9 uses a TB with 2 openings between 42-46mm.
now you can bolt on a TB from the same yr as yours off of a 5.2 or 5.9 liter V8. but don't expect earth shattering acceleration after you do it. you'll notice a difference but not a lot.
