Message: Need Help!!!
I replaced my trans in my 99 Dak , and need some advice.
My check engine light came on two days after i put the trans in, all sensors in trans are new and the crank position sensor is new. I know I have a bad O2 sensor. Would the O2 sensor cause the trans to not perform correctly? Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Message: Yes, the same happened in mine. The O2sensor wires where not hooked up in the right place. Go buy the Hanes manual for our model yr truck($17.00). it has all the correct diagrams in it. Mine was running like sh*t for two days i put the wires back into the right place and the problem was fixed. But if you cannot save the 02 you have buy a new one($67.00), first make sure you don't have to.

Message: Lucas,
the O2 sensor is hooked up right, but when I droped the trans into the mount I had the exhaust crossover pipe to close to the tranny pan. Needless to say the tranny pan cut into two wires on the O2 sensor . I thought I fixed it but my Check engine light came on yesterday. I do have a haynes manual and a chilton manual. I just was in a hurry to get my truck back on the road and did something stupid. But thanks for the reply
