 Subject: differential swap

i have a 97 2wd v6 dak and the rear dif is making noise so i need to swap it, is a 94 diff from a dak the same and will it bolt up? or what do i need to do to get it to work?

the 94 differential is more narrow

Also the 97+ daks had different shock mounts. On older dakotas made before 97 both shocks were mounted toward the rear of the truck. On newer dakotas one shock is mounted rear ward and the other side is foward.
