Subject: Driver window problems! IP: Logged
Message: I found out today that my drivers side window decided
not to work.
Before now, for a couple of weeks it had started to slow
down right in the middle of going down, like it was
getting stuck on something. Well today, I went to roll it
down, and the motor (automatic) was trying to roll the
window down, and the window stayed up. When I rolled
the motor back up, it "clicked" back in the bottom of the
window.
Does anyone know what this might be, had this happen
, and how to fix it?

Message: What year ? Had something similar on my 98. Turned out to be a cheap plastic bushing on the track had broken. Replaced it with a rubber faucet washer - So far so good.

Message: I tried to take the door panel off once b/f and was unalble to get it off. I took the three or four screws out of the door, but couldn't get it off.
It's a 99.

Message: I had a 99 also what you need to do is take out the screws then start at the bottom with a small or medium sized pry bar and if you get down there you can see were the plastic tabs are just pry on the door panel by those tabs one by one carfully then when you get them all "popped" lift on the panel it should come off ,after you disconnect the door lock and door handle and wire harnesses you should be good to go

Message: If all the screws are removed it will easily pull up & out. Check for the one behind the release lever.

Message: I believe there are five screws total. two on the bottom one up top by the side mirror, one behind the door handle (you have to pull it open to unscrew it, it should be a torx), and theres a torx behind the handle you use to shut the door on the armrest. Then just slide the door panel up and disconect the power window and lock, mirror adjustment, and top tweeter speaker (if you have one) harenesses, and then the plastic clips for the rold on the door handle.

Message: Thanks ucimaplaya2, I just took the panel off and tried to look at the window inside. I figured out that the window had come loose on the "clips, or holders" at the bottom of the window.
I couldn't get to on side of the window well enough to put it back in the clip, so it just came out again. It will probably have to be glued to stay in both of the clip things. If anyone can tell me how to get both of the sides in and stay in while the window is going down, than please let me know. Thanks
