Message: 68dartman what side of the tranny is the fluid coming from? check the seal on the dipstick fill tube where it goes into the tranny. also check your tranny lines, make sure there isn't any holes or if they are loose. Check the tranny pan maybe some of the bolts came loose, or the gasket might be bad. your torqe converter might be leaking, converter not working right will cause it to not shift right.
just check everything on the tranny.

Message: the tranny leak seems to be coming from the middle of the bottom of the bell housing. where do the lines go into the tranny?

Message: the tranny lines come in on the drivers side right behind the bellhousing. but check the front tranny seal like daddio suggested.

Message: 68 Dartman ,
Im not sure about the overflow. But I am in the process of changing my trans right now. So far it is a pain to drop the trans, everything is in your way. Once I get my trans out I will let you know about the overflow.
