Hi all,
I have been looking for some wheels that are more on the cheaper side and I found some American Eagle Alloys Series 186. I was thinking about getting the 15x8 wheels, but I do not know if they will fit right because of the offset and backspacing. They are 6x4.5 with -46m offset and 3 5/8 backspacing. Please let me know if you think those would work on my 99' 4x2 2wd Reg. cab dakota sport. If those will not work, what offset and backspacing will work?

Thank you,
Jim

You need a 5 or 5 1/2 inch backspacing on a 15x8 wheel. Any less than that and they will stick out of the wheel well. American racing makes several wheels with the 5 inch backspace. Hope this helps you.

Thanks guys. I decided to go with the American Racing Python 16x8. They have more backspacing and I was reading that it was easier on your joints if your wheels stayed inside the wheel well.
