Message: I have a 2001 Dakota that the 4WD service light has come on at the same time the interior lights, keyless entry, and headlamps have all stopped working. Can anyone help as to what the problem is? All fuses look ok.

Message: Flash your PCM and see if any codes are spit out. Turn the key 3x's(don't start) and leave on the 3rd time and watch your odometer, it should flash some codes. Did you check both the inside and engine bay fuze boxes?

Message: Thanks for the reply, After trying this the readout said "P-done" ? The fuses inside the door are ok along with the ones under the cover under hood.

Message: p-done means no codes set. could be the CTM(central timer module) behind the drivers side kick panel i believe.

Message: It's tha panel under the dash by your feet, below the A-pillar. Have you reset your PCM my disconnecting be battery and turning on your ignition to see if the light comes back. It might just be a PC glitch.

Message: I'd start looking for loose or corrioded grounds. Or maybe a dying battery.
But thats just me.

Message: I had the same exact problem with mine a few weeks ago. First of all, do not worry, you 4x4 is probably not screwed up. If you have an electronic 4x4 selector switch, Your service 4x4 light came on because your switch is getting no power. I checked all my fuses and they were all good, I then lifted up the fuse/relay box under the engine, didn't see anything, but it all started working. I think it was a loose connection. I would try there and see if you have any loose underneath or any bad wires. Make sure to disconnect the battery before messing with it.
