Message: Jack the rear end so the tires are off the ground and remove the rubber plugs on the brake backing plates. You will see a "star" adjuster inside, just turn it a few times with a screw driver and spin the tire. You will hear a slight drag sound from the brake shoes dragging on the drum when the shoes are in adjustment. The adjuster will only turn in one direction, the correct way, without releasing the catch. You will probably have to turn the adjuster and spin the tire a few times to get the brakes properly adjusted, If you turn the adjuster too far and the rear shoes are dragging too much or you will have to release (push) the adjuster catch to spin the adjuster backwards .
