I have a 94 dakota with the 5.2 V8, automatic, 4 wheel drive. Recently I've been having problems with the electical system. The ampmeter with go crazy in the high amps and the check engine light will come on. And when I turn the engine off the whole electric system dies except for the hazard lights. It used to come back to life after 20 minutes, but now it won't come back at all. The battery is brand new and jumping it did nothing, could this be a alternater or regulater problem. Please help.
