I think part of dean's point is, that the power is immaterial without the chasis to hook it up with. His other point is that power is about the curves- peaks are immaterial, but whoever has a "Flatter Torque Curve" has the advantage.
Those are good points. I don't konw if I would say that the Hemi can't work though...
