Subject: got clean tools? IP: Logged
Message: So after changing my transmission fluid and filter and then trying to do an oil change my my wife's car. I realized I need a better way to clean my tools after getting oil, tranny fluid, crud, etc on them. Can some of you offer up how you clean up your tools after use? At one point, I actually dropped my entire ratchet into the pan of tranny fluid.

Message: Simple green is excellent stuff...works great and is safe as well.
As for the ratchet, you can disassemble it and clean it out inside...just pack it with grease when you are done.

Message: Wow, the dishwasher is a great idea. I'll have to remember that.
I use Simple Green.
Seems like everyone is doing tranny oil.
I did mine yesterday.
