This post started off with a benign but obvious suggestion to install locking gas caps and ended up with a bunch of yahoo's sounding off about driliing holes in gas tanks. Unbe-fukkin-lievable!!!
How old are most of you people?

If I wanted to go somewhere that people just criticize the way people spell maybe I'd go to some dictionary freak forum or something. But I didn't now did I. I'm here for my truck and my own amusement. Now you can take your hotdog and sit on it!

Message: Lol, and guess what I saw on the news this morning?
A news report about people coming out to go to work this morning and finding their cars empty from the gas being siphoned out overnight. Seems someone got something like 9 houses on one street in this particular news report. That report was followed by another where some school buses were hit for diesel.
I guess Obie didn't have such a bad idea after all...eh R2Dak?

Message: all dakotas have an anti siphoning ball in the filler hose
actualy you can bypass it, you have to crawl under the truck, unhook the filling hose, and pull the ball setup thing out of the gastank, then you are free to take as much gas as yo ulike
but you can get it ALL if you drill a hole in the bottom of the gas tank, and no i wont blow up
because if you guys think about this
1)who is going to drag a cord around for that anyway? if they dont have a cordelss that is
2) has anyone ever heard of or used a bit and brace? maybe a yankee drill, or even a hand drill
hell and hand egg beater with a drill bit jammed on it would work, you dont ALWAYS have to rely on electricity you know ;)

I agree. I realized my posting about a locking gas cap was Mr. Obvious material, but I think we all know people who aren't the obvious thinking type. I live near a university where professors are everywhere. Not trying to knock them too much, but they think and teach theory more than common sense/reality/obvious thinking. My conversations with them are so inane that sometimes I just want to slap them and yell "wake up!" Yes I did graduate from college but I don't want to teach/live theory; I like it better in the real world.
So if there are any profs reading, sorry, but it's just my opinion. Oh yeah, get a locking gas cap.
