Message: aluminum alloy is what the wheel is made of... but it's painted and clear coated for protection. It's probably just loosing it's clearcoat.
i took some sand paper to one and there is aluminum under there... it takes a while but it's there.. lol

Message: So, to match them i'll have to sand them all down and paint them, then clear coat them? because it's not just the clear coat it's bad...this sucks...i have no idea what i am doing! how much would it cost to have them chromed at a shop?

Message: Just take them to a powdercoating shop, they will strip them and put on any color you want for about 30.00 each. Some powdercoats can get almost chrome in color.
