All the years are the same so there is not one year better than the other. Be aware that Dodge overstated the towing capacity. Production stopped in 04.
Hit Google...tons of R/T info there.

Check out the late 90's if you can find one with low milage. Starting in '00 they started using FOUR 02 sensors and '99 or '00 was the last year for the Mopar Performance PCM. Also the RWHP was a little disappointing for me at only about 195HP. That said there's a TON of mods that can be done to remedy that problem. 2004 was the last year for the GenIII Dak's, but in '06 they are rereleasing them, but with the high output 4.7L V8 which is almost dead even with the 5.9L as far as performance goes. But the new Dak's are flippin ugly, my $.02.
