 Subject: Rear suspension squeak

Message:
About a week ago I drove through a puddle and
covered the Dakota in mud. Which may be related
to a near constant squeak that has developed in
the rear suspension. The noise is there even
when driving on a smooth highway and can be heard
when passengers enter and exit.
Any suggestions?

Squirt some brake fluid on the bushings, and in between the leaf springs. Let it sit for a while so the exess runs off and doesnt get on your paint. I have done this on many vehicles and no more squeek.
