man, I just washed and Waxed my Dak, it looks like brand new now,

it hasn't been waxed in 2 years, and man, it looks so much better now, and I cleaned my motor, shined up the tires and wheels, and it looks nice,

I just wish it would stay that way.

I know whatchya mean about it lookin good after a good wash. I have a question though. Whenever you wash your dak do you dry it off with a towel or let it air dry. I let mine air dry one time and I got terrible water droplet marks on my hood. and I even used the "No Dry" car wash stuff where you don't have to hand dry it. Does yours spot up easily like that?

Mine too. It's one of the downfalls of owning black.

Trying to find mudflaps for mine to keep that dirt off the paint. Of course dirt does make it look good, but it's bad for the paint. I'm trying to keep those rocks that get stuck in the tires from chipping the paint.

Instead of drying with a towel, use a genuine chamois. It will cost you a few extra dollars versus the fake ones, but it does wonders on water spots and the windows. Fell in love with the Eagle One Wax. No white residue whatsoever! Easy on and easy off. Microfiber cloths work the best.

Do you use the microfiber towels to apply, or to buff? What do you use to apply?

I use the sponge applicator to apply and the microfiber towels to buff it off. Microfiber towels also work great when you are using either Armor All, etc., for the interior. They really keep the element of dust down to a minimum. One of the biggest keys to keeping your vehicle in great shape and free of corrosion is make sure you open all doors, the hood and trunk/toneau cover and dry those places as well. Leave them open for at least 20 minutes so they can air dry, in addition to chamois drying. This eliminates the moisture inside the panels which cause premature corrosion. Yeah, I know it sounds like common sense stuff, but a lot of people don't do it. My younger brother is driving a 1988 Dodge Aires I used to own and it still looks brand new becasue I took care of it. Okay I know, an ARIES??? I was dirt poor back then and it was all I could afford. Yes, original engine with 230k on it.
