I have been looking everywhere (internet,napa,junkyards,ebay) for a slave cylinder for my 97 dakota v6. no one has it. it is on national backorder. So if anyone has a wreaked dakota sittin around or the slave cylinder please tell me because i need to buy one now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have found several at www.car-part.com. it is a database that searchs salvage yards all across the U.S. and Canada. from $75 to $35.

you could have ordered it and had it shipped ups and you would have had it by now. shipping ups would be cheaper than driving there.

if you're not willing to do that, then order it from a dealer and wait for it to come off of national backorder.

maybe it won't be empty. or order the unit complete w/ master cyl. decisions, decisions. if not go to auto zone or o'reilly's and buy a Haynes or Chilton manual.

i think every owner that does their own work ought to have some sort of manual. be it a factory service manual or just a haynes.

the haynes manuel says its a 1 piece unit with no bleeding nipple. cant i take off the slave and dunk it in fluif and manually bleed it, then plug it into the master cylinders's line and push the clutch till it has some pressuere
