2000 4.7l CC SLT, 5-Speed, 3.92, cab-high Lear camper, Patriot Blue, BFG A/T's, no other real mods.
Resolved issues along the way:
--Condensation at oil cap 1/00, (I believe they replaced PCV)
--Fender bender, replaced front passenger quarter panel 3/00
--Infinity Stereo speakers blown 4/00
--Grill chrome bubbling 1/01
--Gas guage gremlin 7/03
--Ball joint recall 11/04
--Replace OEM battery 5/05
--**REAR END REBUILD 6/05**
--Trailer light relay 7/05
--Fog light plastic cracked 7/05
--U-joints, rear driveshaft 8/05
--Multiple (3) gas caps throwing evap codes
Unresolved issues:

All in all, a great truck. Except for the rear end rebuild, I am impressed that she has come this far with so few problems.

Message: I dont think i can top you but i have a pretty good list. Mine has been to MA(where i live), RI, NH, CT, ME, NY, VT, NJ, MD, WV, and PA. Ive towed my boat in MA, NH, VT, CT, NY,RI.
Mine is a 02 qc 4wd sport.
I can beat you on the parts replaced though(not in a good way). My truck has 86k on it and here is the list. Rotors(4 times), Pads ( 4 times), U joints, Rear end pinion seal, Sway bar bushings( 3 times), Front end pinion seal, Ball joints ( twice both upper and lower), Rack and pinion, rod ends, Int steering shaft. Fan clutch( 3 times), T-stat (4 times), Radiator, water pump, Both cyl heads( coolant leak), both exhaust manifolds(cracked), gas cap( twice), calipers( both on the front locked up), shocks. That dosent mention normal stuff like plugs, oil changes, tires etc.
Thats quite the list for a truck that hasnt been driven hard, just towed an 18' bassboat and maintained very well.

Message: what a nightmare. i have a feeling i could have done a few of the things you have ... like the rotors. at 50k they were warped very badly but i didn't mess with them on the advice of my brake shop guy and they actually worked themselves out. i don't know if what the warped rotor conspiracy theorists say is true, but in my case it seemed to hold water.
but about the exhaust manifold and replaced heads ... that is really too bad for such low mileage.
was this work all done under warranty?

On a serious note, 100K is only a stepping stone.
When you hit 200K, then I'll pull out the maintenance books!!
Jb - Holy %$#@...that's a helluva lot of work on a "newer" Dakota!!! Damn!!!

Message: Oh yeah, just hit 100k miles last month, only one major part replaced (rack n pinion which is STILL leaking) with the exception of ball joints under recall. Some minor stuff here and there but all in all, a damn good truck...I drive the crap out of it.

'03 4wd Quad cab; will turn 80,000 miles on the way to work in the morning. Next week, I will be replacing the brake pads, ceramic(?). Rotors are still fine, but I wonder should I change them out, also? BTW, these are the original brakes, I think I did pretty well. I know the dealership was impressed, they said it is very unusual to have them last that long, and they said the rotors don't even need to be turned, much less replaced. They saw them as they rotated the tires the other day.
I do have to get a relay (or resister?) I believe, as my fan only runs on high speed. And a bulb for my foglight, I'll just replace them both. I'm also doing a tuneup, etc. I'm doing the work myself, I'll have my Dad check over things after I'm done, esp the brakes. Kind of looking forword to doing the work myself, actually. Bought a Haynes book, and have been reading it, I can do some of this maintainance!

By that statement alone, I helped increase my mechanics income to another tax bracket.
BE CAREFUL Ms Scooter!!!!!
Hell, I think I helped put his youngest into Harvard.....
