Guys - I have the classic ABS/BRAKE/CHECK ENGINE, no speedo, no cruise, no odometer syndrome. Had it on my former Durango - have it now on the Dakota. The Dakota popped the code at Auto Zone, and I bought the speed sensor from them. The speed sensor on this five speed manual V6 is NOT at the top of the rear diff like the automatic Durango. I can't find the freaking thing anywhere. Where the hell is it?

Look on the lower rear of the Transmisson. That is where it is on my Dak. When you take it out, you may have a little loss of T.M. fluid, but nothing to be alarmed about.

mine is on the driver side near the rear of the trany. 97 3.9

I'll look again guys. Redd 99, when you say "lower rear of the transmission" you do mean the tranny, not the rear diff., correct?
